Description

Rochdale is widely recognised as making a positive difference to children and families.  We have strong partnerships across the borough, embodied in our ‘Raising Rochdale’ approach, working across our communities to make an impact, working together to improve the lives of our children, young people and families. We are home to exciting regeneration and growth ambitions, a key partner within Greater Manchester, with thriving towns and vibrant localities. As a council we are recognised for making a positive difference, empowering our young people to thrive and access the many opportunities on offer.

In this key role, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of our education and inclusion services across our diverse borough, working across our community of schools. We want our children, young people and families to be empowered to access education provision that meets their needs and is of the highest quality and allows them to achieve their potential. You will work closely with schools, academies and partners to raise standards, narrow attainment gaps and champion inclusive education for all.

You will bring a strong track record of leadership in education, a deep understanding of SEND and inclusion, and the ability to inspire and influence at all levels. Your collaborative approach and commitment to equity will help shape a culture where every learner is valued. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in a diverse and ambitious local authority. If you are ready to lead with purpose and drive positive change, we would love to hear from you.
